Following the principles of traditional Chinese medicine, the practitioner will identify a pattern diagnosis to best harmonize the body. This practice includes feeling the pulse, reading the tongue, and asking questions concerning medical history and current conditions.

After careful evaluation, points are selected with traditional Chinese medical theory. The areas are cleaned with alcohol and sterile acupuncture needles are inserted into the selected points. The patient must lie still for 20-25 minutes, after which the needles are removed.

After needles have been inserted, leads are attached to the needle shaft. An electrical current courses through the needles, increasing the stimulation and therapeutic effect of those points.

Gua sha is a traditional Chinese medicine practice in which a tool is used to scrape people's skin in order to release unhealthy matter from sore, tired, stiff, or injured muscle areas to stimulate new oxygenated blood flow to the areas, thus promoting metabolic cell repair, regeneration, healing, and recovery.

Using glass cups and a flame, suction is created against the body. The cups are moved in patterns with the meridians or kept still for different effects. This technique is exceptional in clearing the exterior and balancing the muscle layer.
